Electromechanic Field Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Electromechanic Field Technician assembles machines from electrical and mechanical drawings, performs start-up and functional testing, and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues. The role includes installing cutting machines across Canada and/or the United States, providing operator training, responding to service calls, delivering on-site technical support, and completing related service and maintenance tasks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble machine components using electrical and mechanical drawings
- Perform start-up testing and machine configuration
- Carry out functional tests, diagnose issues, and repair electrical and mechanical problems
- Install machine tools primarily in Canada and the United States
- Provide training to operators on installed equipment
- Respond to service calls
- Deliver on-site field service support
- Perform any other related duties
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience and/or training in industrial electronics or electromechanics
- Experience in industrial maintenance or equipment installation (an asset)
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Intermediate-level English (required)
- Available to travel within Canada and the United States (vehicle provided)
- Valid passport and driver’s license (required)
